Putting the ECVAM recommendation on antibody production into practice

The ECVAM recommendation on the scientific validity of replacements methods for animal derived antibodies requires a significant change to current practice. So understandably, this leaves many questions and there is pressure from those that have been relying on animals up to this point. This presentation  alleviates some common concerns, discussing why we are not already using replacement methods, where we are now, how the assessment process should now differ, some comments on antibodies in therapeutics and where to obtain advice

The applications and benefits of Animal friendly affinity reagents.

Co-organized by the US National Toxicology Program Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM), the PETA International Science Consortium Ltd., and the European Union Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing (EURL ECVAM), this webinar series features experts in the development and use of recombinant antibodies.

AFABILITY organises subsidized remote or in-house training sessions in recombinant antibody production by phage display including vector design, molecular cloning in bacterial expression systems and panning.

If you are interested in either of these options, please register your interest, stating what you would like the training to address and if you are interested in a) training workshop or b) in house training and implementation
